Can you believe it’s that time of year again?! The 2016 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Walk is upon us! I’m super excited for the walk this year because my parents get to show off their gorgeous new house. Not to mention, it’s been 2 years since we participated!
Now for a quick update on my life here in Florida. I continue to work and love my job at lululemon. I am also still teaching yoga and enjoying every minute of it. I moved in with my wonderful boyfriend Scott and got the bonus of a yellow lab named Elway. I’m loving having a dog! We live in the College Park area of Orlando and we are enjoying exploring all the restaurants and things to do in Orlando together. He braved the Booze Cruise with me this year and met 150 of my closest friends. He just bought his ticket to be at the walk too so it couldn’t have been too bad.
Sean and Angie are still in Austin. They have a great group of friends there and are enjoying everything that Austin has to offer. Jay has officially settled in San Diego. He loves his job and the lifestyle out there (but who could blame him?!). Mom and Dad have put the finishing touches on the new house, just in time for the walk. Mom also got a new job in Stamford so while we are still working on her working less, at least her commute is shorter!
My health continues to be good. I just got a clean bill of health at my 5 year anniversary appointment. I continue to be so grateful for Adrian (my donor), my doctors and my continued good health.
Lyndsey’s TLC Foundation is an invaluable resource for so many of my cysters and fibros. In 2015, we awarded eight scholarships to recipients across the country totaling over $ 50,000. Sean and Angie along with Jason Carter have gotten involved in the CF foundation in Texas and we gave our first scholarship to a cyster in the longhorn state. Thank you for your continued support. We wish you could all hear the gratitude, relief and tears we have the privilege of experiencing when we inform the recipients that they will be receiving a scholarship.
This year we will continue to collect checks for Lyndsey’s TLC Foundation and give a portion of the money to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Please make checks payable to the Lyndsey’s TLC Foundation and send to 110 Prospect
St. White Plains, NY 10606 or donate on line at http://www.lyndseystlc.org.
I really hope all of you can join us at the Lyndhurst Castle on May 15, 2016. But please if you can’t, try to make it to the barbecue that afternoon. Can’t wait to see you all!
